Hi, I'm Jemma

I'm a Hampshire-based creative producer, facilitator and project manager with over 15 years experience delivering accessible, engaging and inspiring arts and cultural experiences across multiple artforms, including performing arts, visual arts and heritage.

On any given day you might find me collaborating on a creative project, running a workshop, making new connections in the community, providing wellbeing support, mentoring a fellow creative, running an event, writing a funding application, developing a marketing strategy, balancing a budget or evaluating a project.

Most of my work takes place in non-arts settings, in the heart of communities. I've worked with a range of people, with a range of diverse needs, including those who are neurodivergent, physically disabled, learning disabled, chronically ill, experiencing poor mental health, socially isolated or experiencing other challenging life circumstances.

I've had the honour to work on creative projects with Hampshire Cultural Trust, Forest Forge Theatre Company, Music Fusion, Wellcome Trust, Battersea Arts Centre, Apples and Snakes, house Theatre, Paines Plough, Half Moon, Fluid Motion Theatre and many others.

I hold a degree in Fine Arts from Elam School of Fine Arts at The University of Auckland, New Zealand, and was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England in 2023.

'Working with Jemma is completely brilliant. Her support is invaluable as we work together to reach further into communities with limited access to arts activities. I have hugely benefited from her knowledge and experience of providing accessible creative opportunities, her consideration of diverse needs and her deep commitment to wellbeing. I feel so lucky to know her!'

As a Community Arts Producer for Culture in Common, I develop creative opportunities with and for the communities of the New Forest.

I work with Lucy to support a programme of accessible creative participation opportunities for women in Gosport.
